“Reducing Conservatism in Structural Integrity”, an IMechE seminar

November 8, 2023 Comments (0) News

Following the success of last April’s NDT seminar organised by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), RCNDE is proud to be supporting the upcoming “Reducing Conservatism in Structural Integrity: Plant Life Managements and Extension Evaluations” seminar that will take place onTuesday 21st November at the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel in Manchester.

The seminar will provide a technical forum for the safe exploration of new ideas and strategies for asset maintenance, monitoring and testing. Projects from both academia and industry will outline successes and lessons learned that can be applied across multiple industries, with examples from Automotive, Nuclear and Aerospace industries shared. It will be a valuable opportunity for the NDE community to work together towards identifying common issues and solutions that can be successfully transferred across sectors.

RCNDE members interested to attend will benefit from discounted rates available for members of supporting organisations.

We are pleased that we will also be represented at the seminar by our Academic Director and Professor of Dynamics at the University of Bristol Paul Wilcox, who will be giving a presentation on Non-Destructive Technologies. For the full programme and details on how to register, please visit the seminar page.
