We are very pleased to share an EPSRC funding success story from academics based in two of RCNDE’s partner universities.
A project proposal titled ‘Fast, efficient and reliable: digital qualification of ultrasonic inspection for safety-critical components’ was submitted to the Digital Manufactuing panel and has secured funding for three years. The project lead, Prof. Peter Huthwaite (Imperial College London) will work with co-investigators Prof. Paul Wilcox (University of Bristol), Prof. Anthony Croxford (University of Bristol), and Prof. Mike Lowe (Imperial College London) to develop digital alternatives to the current practices in inspection qualification for safety critical components across a range of high-value manufacturing sectors. A summary of the project and its objectives is available on the EPSRC website.
Congratulations to the project investigators, and we are excited to follow the project through its development!
