Strategic Activities

In collaboration with the British Institute of NDT (BINDT), RCNDE has been pro-active in defining the need for a national steering committee, providing strategic NDT leadership. The NDT Leadership Forum, established by RCNDE’s Director and Chaired by Mark Dowell, involves representatives from industry sectors, professional engineering institutes (PEIs), catapults, research organisations and the NDT supply chain. Its objectives include: advising government through an NDT Landscape Report, identifying and tackling barriers to transitioning new technologies, establishing NDT requirements for sectors, new materials and new manufacturing methods, and driving the many changes that will be required to meet the needs of NDE
